United Molasses

Planning for coronavirus

Posted on 23 March, 2020

We appreciate that all businesses are currently focused on the issues that the Coronavirus is challenging us with, I would like to briefly outline the steps that we at United Molasses are taking to try and ensure the continuity of our business and the supply of molasses products to you.

For our terminal operations, contingency plans are being tested with the aim of ensuring wemaintain the minimum staffing levels to continue the loading of vehicles operation. Travel restrictions between offices and terminals are also in place internally to minimise the associated risks.

Our haulier A & F Grant Ltd is reminding and ensuring that all of its drivers (both on their own fleet and sub contracted) that are making deliveries for United Molasses are following the latest Government/NHS advice along with any specific sites rules that individual premises are putting in place.

Advanced plans are in place to enable our Customer support and Administration teams to work from home to ensure continuity of day to day office operations, however if at any time yourself or a colleague are concerned that a message(s) has not been received by us please

contact your commercial manager or our Operations Manager Mark Few or myself.

If there is any further information you would like from United Molasses please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Yours faithfully
Simon Markham
Head of Molasses GB
